Nails for the week

So here I am, piled up with assignments and have little time to do some  cool Halloween manis..
But, i found this two combination that really complements to each other O.O AND IT'S EASY!
soooo pretty!

In person, this manicure looks darker! the base color looks so much like blood! This is like a mixture of death and...fall? lol! The topcoat really makes it unique and eye-catching since it add dimension. Plus, doesn't the flakies look like fall leaves? :D I love it! Overall, this is such a great alternative if you don't have time to do some nail art for Halloween!
Polishes Used:
China Glaze: Drastic
Essie: Shine of the times

You guys should try this combination out!

Mac Cosmo Swatch

Hey guys! Today I'll show you my favorite shade from mac!
Cosmo is like my "lips but better" go-to shade. It is a nice neutral pink that is neither too pale nor too hot pink. If you like this type of shade, then i completely recommend this to be part of your lipstick collection! This is a permanent shade that MAC sells so I really think this is a must have for your collection! I love it on its own since it compliments my medium skin tone and recently, I've been loving to pair it with a neutral lipgloss! Holy moly! LOVE!

Abstract Cookie Monster Nails?

Hi there!
I've been doing some "lazy manicures" lately. Meaning, I don't really do any nailart that much anymore as to when I started painting my nails. Guess I don't have that much time due to school :(
However, on this day, as I was finishing up painting my nails, I was shocked when it turned out to look like these!
Googly eyes! (witness some chipping :/ )

It was so weird when the white glitters positioned on the opposite direction of each other with a black smaller glitter on top of both! They then resembles some eyes of cookie monster!
Plus, I randomly chose that base polish from china glaze, and now I LOVE IT! I now have a design that was completely unplanned.
So I guess, there's always some surprises when painting your nails!

Polishes that I used:
China Glaze Towel Boy Toy
China Glaze Whirled Away

Mac Mehr Swatch

Hi there!
So today I want to share with you what I got from Mac.
Mehr is a matte neutral blue pink which I feel complements on every complexions!

I love the color that it gives out when swatched. It just looks very wearable and perfect for everyday color. But on your lips, it becomes lighter and leans a bit pale. I have no idea why though. So, just a quick heads up there. I'll even show you how it looks like on my lips.

Overall, I really enjoy this lipstick! Although I was a bit disappointed on how it didn't show up the way I wanted it to be on my lips, I still like how it looks on my skin tone. I feel like this is the most suitable pink for me and possibly the "pinkest" I can wear since I'm not really into pale or barbie pinks.

A random nail polish design that I found!

Hello there!
So today as i was browsing my memory card, I found this nail polish look that I made but never made into this blog.
Well, I finally am able to post this!

As you can see, this one is glittery!
I used color club's Evolution and Nicole by Opi's Inner Sparkle on top.
Also, on my middle finger I had NYC's Lincoln Square Lavender and Revlon's Girly on top!
I really like this look even though it's time consuming to take the glitters off. (Though you can use the foil removing technique!)

Comment down below if you would want to try this mani!

My Minions!

Hi Guys!
I finally did it!
I was able to create my own minions!!

I was inspired by the movie Despicable Me 2 and the fact that it is that easy to recreate! To do the minion, paint your nail with a yellow polish then grab your black nail art striper and make a thin rectangle across your upper center nail. Using a dotting tool, dot a grey shade on the upper center of your nail. Let them dry then on top of the grey dot, dot a white polish and then a black polish to make the minon's eye. Below the eye, use the black striper to make the smile and for its bottom/pants, use a navy blue polish and make sort of a thick french tip on the end of your nail.

Have you tried it?

China Glaze Bump and Grind

Hi There!
Today I bring you the texture polish of China Glaze in the shade Bump and Grind!

I just wanted to show this new "trend" that is for summer. The finish is very interesting since it feels sandy and rough. This particular shade is so pretty! It is a bright red which is great for all skin tones and I think this is great for summer especially when you're out to the beach or if you want to venture out more to the nail polish world and try out some unusual finishes then go for it! Now because of the texture that it has, it can be hard to take off. I don't know if it's just me or what. However, I'm not really into it that much. I mean I like it when I just applied it on my nails but I get bothered by it later on. I don't know maybe I'm picky or something?

Have you tried it?

Flip Flop Fantasy Accent Nail Design

Hi ladies!
Here I have some looks using Flip Flop Fantasy as the base color and I thought why not share these with you all :) This is sooo dang easy! Anyway, Flip flop fantasy is such a famous shade from China Glaze. It is so neon and the camera cannot even capture the reality of this shade. It's phenomenal! All you need is another China Glaze glitter polish  or another nail polish shade and you are ready to go out the door. Now, I know many people don't really like or are disappointed with Whirled Away because you really have to work hard to get the glitter out of the bottle and such. Nevertheless, I don't really mind it. I actually take a small dotting tool to manually place them on my nail and in that way, I control where I want to place the "matte" glitters. As you can see, the black glitters on top of the larger white glitters look like eyes! It's so interesting! Love it!

FIRST:
Here I used China Glaze's Whirled Away as accents.

I completed the Kellog's Special K CHALLENGE!!!

HEEYY GUYS!
So many months ago I was roaming around target and I saw some Kellog's special k cereal boxes with pictures of nail polishes on them!! and obviously, I took the challenge just because you get three nail polishes and  I had to get it. haha
I've been wanting to post this  like a month ago or so but there were just so many things that goes in my way and FINALLY today is that day.

I really like these three shades because all of these are very opaque and they give you fun colors. Plus, who wouldn't want to receive NICOLE by OPI nail polishes for FREE? no one right? :)
This is one coat only!

Challenge Red-y is a jelly polish but it can be a one-coater! It is very opaque and rich that it covers the nails with no streaks.

one coat

Pros & Confidence is a nice azure blue. Unlike challenge red-y, this can have streaks on the first coat and probably you can get away with one coat if you are careful. Other than that, I like this polish and blue is my fav color so it is still great for me!

two coats

Be Ama-zing is such a nice pink! The swatch is definitely lying straight at our eyes! This is actually darker than it looks like on the picture itself. This reminds me of Strawberry fields by China Glaze only without the gold glitter shimmers to it. I specifically like this since it give you a girly look but at the same time a little bit of maturity *wink.

Overall, I'm happy that I was able to get this nail polish set and really worthy to be added in my collection! you guys should try to take that challenge too :D

Are these DUPES?!

HEY LADIES!!
So I have these three blue nail polishes that look so SIMILAR in my collection!
The question is... are they DUPES??

Let's get into it!

On my thumb I have Essie's BIKINY SO TEENY
On my index and middle fingers: Revlon's DREAMER
And on my ring and pinky fingers: China Glaze's ELECTRIC BEAT

My Thoughts:

These shades are pretty similar and there's only small differences among the shades.
Electric beat is darker than the others, Dreamer is lighter than electric beat and darker than bikini so teeny, and bikini so teeny is the lightest.
So I don't think the shades make a whole lot difference to be not dupes. Revlon Dreamer is so close(DUPE) to China Glaze Electric Beat. They seem to be close to each other and if you want to save money, check out the revlon dreamer since it's the cheapest among the three.
Or, you can definitely collect all of them if you're a nail junkie like me :P.

Lilac for Spring!

Hey guys! I want to show you what I came up with last week's nail art.

As you can see, it's very simple and it features the sophisticated color of lilac!:)
I used three nail polishes for this nail design.

I used revlon's top speed polish in Lily, Essie's to buy or not to buy and for the accent nails, I used Essie's a cut above.

That's pretty much it :P I really liked this simple design and it matches on whatever outfits you'd like to  wear.

Minty Glam

Hey guys!  Today I'm going to show you this combinations of polishes that I did ('cause I couldn't decide on which polish I should paint my nails with lol) And by the way, this was taken a couple weeks ago and I was not able to post this,  so here's what I did:

To start off, I used three different nail polishes. I used the eminent Revlon's Minted on my pinky and index fingers. THEN, I used Essie's Turquoise and Caicos on my middle and ring fingers. Finally, I layered Revlon's Whimsical on top of Turquoise and Caicos which I simply ADORE ♥♥
My Trio! :)

Overall, I really enjoyed wearing this nail polishes. They just create a touch of sophistication, especially the glitters, on your nails, and you can have many compliments like i did. So I really recommend you guys to do this. It is very simple, yet awesome :P

Thanks for viewing guys! love, secretbunny:)

I am RED-y

Hey Guys!!! I have something to tell you ! I am pretty darn excited for the MUSICAL PLAY that I am having in my school and it is literally like two weeks from now, which will go on pretty fast! The play is called IN THE HEIGHTS, and I auditioned for the character of ABUELA CLAUDIA because I love her....and guess what,  I GOT THE PART GUYS! I am so honored to get it since everyone loves abuela claudia in the play. So, as for my costume for the play, my director told and allowed me to wear a RED nail polish since it is mature-looking and everyone likes red, even my grandma wears red all the time(creme or shimmery). Also, she knows that I love nail polish and so does she, so yea=D.

So, I don't want this to be super long so let's jump ahead onto my nails :) (figuratively, lol)

So I used L'oreal nail polish in He Red My Mind and this has some micro golden shimmers to it which makes it interesting and gives a nice glow,  but somehow it looks bluish with the flash

with Flash

golden shimmers!
So yea........

I love it so much and the application is very opaque. I mean the first coat is flawless! You can get away with one but I like to do two coats :P  The reason why I am wearing red nail polish already is that this week, we are having a Run-Thru on every act and sooner, we will be having a dress rehearsal. So I am just getting ready ( or over-ready) to be in my character. Plus, I am totally digging the redness of my nails♥♥

I'm so stoked at the same time pretty nervous... Hope me goodluck guys!
See you later!
 Love, Secretbunny♥☺☺

Sinful Colors: Sugar Rush!

HI fellow nail polish lovers! This week is sort of a review for Sinful Color's Sugar Rush which I think is also the name of the collection. This collection was released a long time ago...(during late January-February) which I don't remember.
Forgot to turn on the flash :P

I remember when I saw this collection at Walgreen's, I immediately grabbed this one up. The shades were all pastels. They were pretty.
Anyway, here are the swatches for you:

Amazing color!
This is a great sky blue color. I do not own any polish that looks like this in my collection so this is really worth to buy!

APPLICATION:
The application for this polish is streaky the first time you apply it.
You need at least three to four THIN coats for it to be opaque.( I say thin because you do not want any bubbles flourishing and ruining the polish at the same time on your nails.)
First coat
                                                                  Yup, it is very streaky.

Second coat.

As you can see, it looks so much better. However, it is still streaky on some parts.

So, then, after 3-4 coats, this is the result :D

I really love this nail polish! It is very affordable. It will not tear up your pockets and we know that Sinful colors are good quality.
( I have yet to find a polish that I can dislike but I guess this is not the time:P)
No flash
With Flash!

I do not mind applying 3-4 coats because I do my nails every weekend :P Also, I do have patience when doing my nails so yea. Also, as you see, this is so much pastel-like than the picture below, color club's Evolution. :) Lastly, if you are wondering, THIS IS NOT A DUPE FOR OPI's WHAT'S WITH THE CATTITUDE :( sadly.

This is secretbunny signing out! ♥♥♥

Blue Zebra Nails!

Hi guys! Happy Sunday! So today I have here to show you my last week's nail of the week.( I know I was slackin' :P)
So last week's nails were zebra prints!:) I do love some animal prints!
Smudges give something extra :P haha (not recommended).
To start off, I used Color Club's Evolution which is part of their new Kaleidoscope Collection.
This collection has an amazing spectrum of shades.
Evolution is an awesome robin's egg color. I do not have anything like this in my collection so it is totally worth to buy, if you like blues! =D

@.@ bluuueeee
Swatchyswatch :)

I have gotten so many compliments from this nail art and I think there's no proper rule that zebra nail art can only be made with white base and black stripes. It really depends on the mood of the people.
This nail polish is streaky at first coat but opaque on the second coat. :D
Nicole by OPI's Inner Sparkle as an accent nail.

So yea, that is all what i had last week :P This is secretbunny signing out♥♥♥

Color Club: Eternal Beauty!

Hey Guys! So today I'm wearing Color Club's Eternal Beauty! As I've told you guys that my first bottle broke >.<... I went ahead and ordered a new one.

I don't have the full collection since I figured one bottle makes you satisfied...(though not really if you're an avid collector of nail polish! :P)

Also, I wanted to get the blue one but i already have TONS of blue in my polish rack, so I'm trying to avoid buying ANOTHER one with same shade.

So anyways, here it is! :D
This is such a beauty!

I love linear holographic polishes! They make you feel like you're in SPACE! :D
